Your WHP agents will advise you on preparing your home for sale. We will recommend repairs and modification which we believe will improve your sales price and shorten your marketing time. For starters, consider the following basic preparation:

  1. Curb Appeal
    The front of your home creates the prospect's first impression. Make sure it's neat and clean. Keep the lawn cut and edged. Freshen up landscaping.
  2. Open your Home
    Open your drapes and blinds in each room and turn on the lights. This will make even the smallest room look brighter and larger.
  3. Minor Repairs
    Minor repairs are very important. Dripping faucets, sticking doors, chipping paint and other annoyances can be repaired with minimal time and effort.
  4. Kitchen
    This is a very important room. Keep it neat and clean. A shining kitchen is a super selling point.
  5. Bathrooms
    This is also a very important room. Keep it neat and clean; repair any loose caulking around tile and tub.
  6. Odors
    The odors caused by pets and mildew can turn people off. If this is a problem, the fresh aroma of baking or light use of room deodorant can be a big help.
